Julio Le Parc, an Argentinean Artist, moved to Paris in 1958. He was a founder member of the Groupe de Recherche D'art Visuel.
His philosophy regarding the modern art movement of Op Art was a scientific view. He became interested in experimenting with the reaction of light when moving through a prism and cubes. These experiments were similar to the method that Sir Isaac Newton used when he discovered that white light could be split into what we now know as the spectrum.
