As well as enjoying my artwork and the process of painting itself, I have tried to treat what I do as a business and followed the same advice as anyone who is starting up a business. I have read many books and joined business groups online to gain as much insight and advice as I possibly can. I have a website which I use to sell work, as well as other online galleries. There are so many opportunities out there and a lot of the time, if you don't ask, you don't get! The marketing can take up a lot more time than the actual painting itself!
What do you do in your spare time e.g. hobbies?
I try to balance what I do with other things - whether it be exercise, reading or perhaps some DIY at home. These are the main things I find myself doing in my spare time and I find that it actually helps me to paint better if I am not solely concentrating on my artwork.
