9. What is the future of your style, how is it going to develop?
My work seems to be developing into more of a narrative style, entering a world of suggestion and glimpsing a more profound reality.
10. What are you working on at the moment?
I just finished a painting 'Discarded Adversities' which will be shown at The Mall Galleries in Trafalgar Square for part of the Society of Women Artists Annual Exhibition. Apart from that I am playing with some ideas which developed after visiting a museum in Berlin a few weeks ago. There were some babies preserved in jars, each with a curious disease. They fascinated me to view as they were an insight into something which you would never see in a living form as none of the babies would have survived with such extreme deformities. I want to recreate the intensities of these 'babies' but without representing their forms as such.
11. What tips do you have for other artists who want to get started?
Be passionate and confident about your work. Don’t give up on the things which you may find difficult as they will come with time and perseverance. Don't be afraid of approaching galleries; remember they need you as much as you need them. Just do your research first as to how you should approach individual galleries.
