Come and join East London Printmakers as they celebrate their tenth birthday at Bankside Gallery with their biggest exhibition ever. The exhibition brings together over forty artists, each offering the very best of their creative practice. With no restrictions on subject matter, size or technique, this will be a showcase for a diverse range of highly individual talents.Over the last ten years East London Printmakers has grown from a group of a few people meeting in a pub to a lively artists' cooperative at the forefront of contemporary printmaking practice. ELP now has over 120 members and runs a popular and professionally run Open Access studio with an extensive workshops programme.
Based in Hackney, the new heart of contemporary art in London, ELP provides a mutually supportive environment for artists and designers to develop and realise their ideas. ELP's exhibitions have given their members numerous opportunities to show work across the UK. Through a range of artists' talks, studio visits and outreach programmes the group continues to develop links with other studios and practising artists across the world.
