Born, raised and resident in the Huddersfield area, Simon Armitage has published poetry, novels, stage plays and has written extensively for radio and television. In 1992 he was winner of one of the first Forward Prizes, and a year later was the Sunday Times Young Writer of the Year. He works as a freelance writer, broadcaster and playwright, and has written extensively for radio and television. Previous titles include Kid, Book of Matches, Cloud Cuckoo Land, Killing Time, The Universal Home Doctor, Tyrannosaurus Rex versus The Corduroy Kid and most recently a new translation of Sir Gawain and the Green Knight.
Christopher Eccleston was born in Lancashire and trained at the Central School of Speech and Drama. As well as a highly successful film career, he has won parts on stage for such plays as Hamlet, Electricity and Miss Julie. Eccleston has appeared in popular television dramas, receiving prestigious awards for his roles in Flesh and Blood, Doctor Who and Perfect Parents...
