Christine Maudy was born in Paris. Her artistic career began as a fashion designer before moving to Queensland 12 years ago to concentrate solely on painting. Her sensitive and expressive paintings breathe the passion of those who pace our planet up and down to see, understand and bear witness. In the last 7 years, she has had 17 solo and some 60 group exhibitions. She shows regularly in Australia and overseas in Canada, Hong Kong, Dubai and in Spain where she will have her third solo in June 2008. Her work is documented in catalogues and art reviews. Christine Maudy works with a variety of mixed materials including natural pigment, Chinese paper, gold leaf and sand.
