I always wanted to paint. Finally, the moment came when I was in midlife. I had no idea that being an artist gives more to you than you can give to it. It is mesmerizing and in addition, it gives one a sense of peace and tranquility. It is also therapeutic, and rewarding to see the final result of your creation. It can be a bit addictive but it’s a good addiction. I was delighted to discover that many celebrities and famous people share this wonderful passion. To list a few: Tony Bennett, Anthony Hopkins, Tony Curtis, Sylvester Stallone, Jane Seymour, Jennifer Aniston. Also, those that are no longer with us: Frank Sinatra, Anthony Quinn, Winston Churchill. I believe there is a correlation between the art that they are famous for, drama, music, voice, etc . It doesn’t stop at one point but it continues in other forms. “Without art, the crudeness of reality would make the world unbearable.” . . . George Bernard Shaw |
